I am experienced in the field of public safety. I was selected by Governor Doug Ducey to lead the Arizona Department of Public Safety on February 10, 2015. I have established a track record of tackling crime through innovative programs and technological advancements.
Arizona Border Strike Force
Since becoming the Director, I have overseen the development and implementation of the Arizona Border Strike Force, a comprehensive, statewide strategy to secure the Arizona-Mexico border. The force is meant to combat transnational organized crime effectively.

My career includes 25 years of service with the Phoenix Police Department and serving as Chief of the Mesa Police Department from 2010-2015.
